The time table is to be found on pages 8 and 9 of this document - East Dunbartonshire Local Development Plan Development Plan Scheme May 2014 May - Nov 2015 – assessment of responses and preparation for examination. Dec 2015 – submission to Scottish Ministers. Feb - Jul 2016 – examination (by a Reporter appointed by the SG). Aug 2016 – Report of Examination published. Sep-Oct 2016 – preparation of Proposed Plan as Modified. Nov 2016 – send Proposed Plan as Modified to Scottish Ministers. Dec 2016 - Implement and monitor the Local Development Plan. Adoption of the Local Development Plan (minimum 4 weeks after sending to Scottish Ministers) Mar 2017 - adopt and publish Action Programme. MILTON OF CAMPSIE GREENBELT PRESERVATION PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE PUBLICATION

The MOC Greenbelt Preservation Group Steering Committee held a drop in session in the Village Hall on Tuesday night, 19 May 2015, from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. The purpose of the session was to assist people to submit representations to the Council. The intention was to seat small groups around a laptop computer to show them how to access online the relevant forms, page numbers and principles in the Local Development Plan. However, so many people turned up that the original plan became impracticable and it proved necessary to hold two separate general meetings with the Council documents projected on to a wall. The sessions overran to 9.30pm. MOC Greenbelt Preservation Secretary, Alan Harris said: “The fact that more than 50 people came looking for advice clearly demonstrates that the Council have failed properly to publicise the method of lodging objections and in particular the fact that it is necessary to complete a separate form for each Planning Principle upon which an individual is basing their objections. There was anger that the Council will not accept letters of objection and it was the clear feeling of the meetings that the Council have done their best to deter as many people as possible from making representations. However, it was equally clear that that will only serve to increase residents’ resolve to engage with this unnecessarily convoluted process. Alan Harris went on to say that: “ It is vital that as many people as possible submit representations to the Council before the deadline at 5.00pm on WEDNESDAY 27 MAY 2015 as this may be the last chance to prevent building on Redmoss Greenbelt. DROP IN SESSION ON TUESDAY NIGHT AT THE VILLAGE HALL

It has been decided to hold a drop in session to assist people to submit representations to the Council. The session will be held in the Village Hall this Tuesday night, 19 May 2015, from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. It is vital that as many people as possible submit representations to the Council before the deadline at 5.00pm on WEDNESDAY 27 MAY 2015 as this may be the last chance to prevent building on Redmoss Greenbelt. Anyone who wishes further information or who cannot attend the meeting can contact me by email on secretary@mocgreenbelt.org Please give this event the widest possible circulation by forwarding this email to your neighbours and any concerned local residents and publicising on social media.
